The Office of the Municipal Accountant in the Philippines, mandated by the Local Government Code (RA 7160), manages all financial and accounting services, including installing internal audit systems, preparing financial statements for the Mayor and Sanggunian, certifying allotments, pre-auditing vouchers, managing payroll and deductions, and ensuring proper recording and reporting of all municipal financial transactions for transparency and accountability.
